Data Center Certification
Building on our Tier Review service, certification is available against international standards — based on compliance reviews carried out by ONE9 3NINE or, where a design standard mandates it, by an approved third-party body. The client selects the preferred standard, and certification is delivered based on that standard and the facility's actual condition.

Certification isn't about who signs the certificate — it's about what it's measured against.

How can I get my data centre certified?
Common market understanding holds that certification must come from the standards body itself — this isn't always true. While some standards do mandate exclusive certification rights, most data centre certifications can be carried out by any suitably experienced organisation performing the inspection in line with the standard (such as TIA-942). ONE9 3NINE brings the experience to certify to most major standards.

Which tier certification is best?
Choice of standard usually follows the design standard already in use — often driven by which framework your team has been trained in. Different tier standards have subtly different compliance concepts, so a facility designed to one may not translate cleanly to another. ONE9 3NINE advises customers to select based on design standard first, then on facility fit — and to avoid chasing multi-standard certification where the frameworks simply don't agree.

What standard is my data centre, and is it certified?
Facilities built 20 years ago on mainframe-era designs were often built well — but two decades of upgrades can introduce compliance issues that only surface under a formal review. ONE9 3NINE advocates a fact-finding health check before committing to full certification, so any high-level non-compliances are identified early and addressed cost-effectively.
